Fall events in Henderson. After a very long Summer we are excited to finally welcome Fall. Fall in Southern Nevada is a beautiful season with less wind and comfortable temperatures. We have put this blog together to share with you some of the wonderful Fall events and activities you can enjoy this season in Henderson, NV.
FARMERS MARKETS
- The Farmers Market at the Water Street Events Plaza is open every Thursday from 9am-4pm.
- The District at Green Valley Ranch holds a Farmers Market on Thursdays from 4pm-8pm.
- The Galleria Mall hosts a Farmers Market on Fridays from 10am-2pm.
- The Henderson Pavilion hosts their market Fridays from 9am-4pm.
Enjoy shopping for fresh picked fruits and vegetables from local Nevada and California farm stands. There will also be bakery fresh bread and pastries, a variety of tasty salsas, pizza, kettle corn, hot dogs and ice cold drinks.
ART IN THE PARK
One of the best Fall Events near Henderson is Art in the Park. Boulder City will host the 55th annual Art in the Park on October 6th and October 7th from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Art in the Park is one of the largest outdoor art festivals in the Southwest and is the largest fundraiser for the Boulder City Hospital Foundation. The event is free to the public and draws over 100,000 visitors. 300+ juried Fine Art, Fine Craft & Traditional Craft artists will be selling and exhibiting original artwork. There are also live demonstrations, live music, activities for children and raffle giveaways. Parking can be tricky, we suggest the paid parking with a free shuttle service.
HERITAGE HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Heritage Festival is being held on October 6th at 11:00am. This event is at the Heritage Senior Facility on Racetrack Rd. This family-friendly festival includes live entertainment (Mama’s Wranglers from 11am to 12:30pm), a craft fair with 40+ vendors, children’s activities including a petting zoo, two bounce houses, and face painting, and games for all generations. Free refreshments include cotton candy and popcorn. Other refreshments are available at a nominal cost. Also explore a variety of senior health and information booths, volunteer opportunities, safety information, and free health screenings. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is free.
ZOMBIE 5K RUN
Saturday, October 20 | 6pm-8pm
Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Pkwy.
The walking dead return to Henderson for another feeding. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween garb or as a member of the undead. Souvenir T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 participants. All fitness levels are welcome. Packet pickup is at Orange Theory Fitness (691 Marks St.) on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 3pm-7pm or at Cornerstone Park from 5pm-6pm the day of the event. Day of registration is cash only. Pet Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk
Saturday, October 27
Heritage Bark Park, 350 S. Racetrack Rd.
Show off your pet’s Halloween costume at our first Pet Trick-or-Treat 1-Mile Walk. Bring a trick-or-treat pail and walk your leashed pet along the Heritage Park trail, stopping at our stations along the way to collect dog treats. Visit the agility dog park to see if your pet is interested in trying out some tricks. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and best human/pet costume combo during each session. Canned pet food will be collected for the Heritage Park Senior Facility’s Meals-on-Wheels program. Registration is per pet and includes a map of the treat stations, treats and a commemorative dog tag for your four-legged friend. Day of registration is cash only. Register at any recreation center or online. $5 in advance, $10 day of

HALLOWEEN
There are many safe alternatives to trick or treating in Henderson. Galleria Mall at Sunset is hosting a Monster Bash on October 31st from 6pm-8pm. Dress in costume and bring the kids for Spooktacular Halloween-themed activities, including scary-oke, prizes, and giveaways and mall-wide trick-or-treating! Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the mall.
There are numerous pumpkin patches set up around the city which offer games, kid’s rides, refreshments and snacks.
HAUNTED HARVEST
This family-friendly event at Springs Preserve features a haunted maze, trick or treat stations, carnival games, live entertainment and much more. It runs Oct. 12-14, 19-21, 26-28, 2018, 5pm-9pm Admission is $8. Children age 2 and under get in for free. For an additional $3 for members and $5 for non-members, guests can take a “haunted” train ride.
HallOVeen
Opportunity Village’s 6th annual HallOVeen will turn the Magical Forest into a spooky land of goblins and ghosts. This child friendly event will feature rides and attractions including The Haunted Adventure by Santino and Rocco Panaro, a spooktacular Forest Express Ghost Train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel and Boris the Elf’s 3D Experience. Guests will enjoy nightly parades, crafts, spooky movies, story telling, “Scary-oke”, the Candy Cabin and special entertainment in the Haunted Castle Courtyard. Each night will feature a different theme with nightly costume contests and prizes awarded to winners. HallOVeen debuts Oct 5th-7th, Oct 12th-14th, and Oct 19th- Oct 31st.
